Thomas Mueller is a professor in advertising communication at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. He is a quantitative analyst with research interests in analytics marketing, energy research, and predictive models for consumer behavior. His work has been published in the Journal of Higher Education Management, Journal of Bullying & Social Aggression, Energy Research & Social Science, and the Journal on Excellence in College Teaching.

Mueller is faculty in residence and founder of the Active Living residence learning community. Mueller’s recent academic research has focused on the social effect of gender transformation in marketing; and the psychological dimensions of resilience in university students.

Mueller earned his master’s in business administration degree from Otterbein University in Ohio, then his doctor of philosophy degree from the University of Florida. In addition to reviving his motocross images for publication, Mueller is completing a book on the exploration of freethinking Christianity.
